Pan y Amor Association was established in an effort to eliminate child labor through access to quality education.
Without access to education, children and adolescents removed from the child labor by force have no viable alternatives and turn to other dangerous means to subsist.
In 1994, after working for some time with the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta at the Mercado Oriental, a group of volunteer ladies saw the need to establish an organization that searched, facilitated, and worked to assist the poorest and most vulnerable sector of Nicaraguan society, seeking to offer appropriate solutions to their basic needs.
